Purchased as a bag of parts, missing the van floor and the rear doors. First stage was making a new floor. The material was from metal framing, studding, as used in the building industry. Very inexpensive and quite useable. Careful measuring, cutting, bending, and filing produced an acceptable floor. The doors were next, bit cheap and ill fitting, I may replace these. Stripping and spraying and detailing followed the normal pattern and I created decals for the sides. And finally, a rough imitation box.
Remember those toys cars from your childhood, or perhaps your fathers or grandfathers toys.
They are very collectable now even in poor condition. I have been restoring them to give them a new lease of life
using basic tools. I am sharing some of my best tips and showing some of the restorations to help you do the same. The collections includes Dinky, Corgi and rare makes such as Toby Toys, Gilco, Gaity, Kemlow, Londontoy etc.
